How many other sites have you visited on this quest to start your very own virtual assistance business? How many start-up resources have you come across and considered buying? Chances are that our site isn’t the first you’ve stumbled upon, but we hope you haven’t purchased anything yet. Not to brag or anything, but our books rock! Ask anyone who’s read ’em. Besides, anything you’ve found up until now has simply not been “visionary.”
Why should you buy our books? We’ll tell you why. We didn’t write a series of eBooks to simply explain what you have to do to start your business—we’ve told you how to complete each step along the way. Since there are two of us, we’ve each given our opinions on all topics covered (when they differ), and we’ve provided honest, truthful advice. Did we mention that one of us is American, and the other is Canadian? We’ve got you covered no matter which side of the border you’re on.
Now, to save you a little time, we’re going to quickly tell you what topics are covered in these eBooks. And remember, we don’t just touch on the topics we’ve included in the books; we go into great detail, and we even provide a workbook for you. Seriously—these books rock.
Fire Your Boss! Go Virtual covers the basics. If you’re visiting our site, we know you want to get rid of your boss. In this book, we tell you a bit about the VA industry, how long you can expect it to take before you’ll land your first paying client, what you need to get started, how to actually perform work virtually, how to work around children, and what to do about the lack of support at home. That’s just a sampling. For more information about this eBook or to order, click here .
Laying the Foundation for Your Virtual Business will help you if you’ve definitely decided to start your own VA business. This book will cover information about your business plan, business structure, rates, policies, insurance, contracts, bookkeeping, and boundaries. Again, that’s just a taste. For more information or to order, click here .
Services, Niches, and Taglines—Oh My! is one of our favorites. We get into choosing a target market and determining what services you will offer. We tell you about how to name your business, decide on a tagline, and even how to make your business legal. If you are wondering about trademark information, that’s covered as well. For more details or to order, click here .
Preventing an Identity Crisis is a must-read for any business owner. One of us is a branding expert, and this book is chock-full of information that you’ll definitely find useful. We cover not only “branding,” but we also include information about your logo, stationery, website, professional photos, and oh-so-much-more. Don’t miss this one. Click here to learn more or to order.
The Workbook ties in everything from the eBooks and allows you to work through all the topics at your own pace. It is intended to accompany the entire series and is given to you for FREE when you purchase the Getting Started Series . However, it would be a great resource on its own or if purchased with one or two other books in the series.
Hands down, purchasing the entire series in one shot is the way to go. The individual eBooks are cheaper that way, and you get the free workbook too. It’s a total no-brainer.
So what are you waiting for? If you’re going to purchase something to help get you started on this journey, you need to order this series.
We don’t expect you to take our word for it, however:
“To say that I am impressed with Visionary VAs: The Collection would be an understatement. In the sea of products geared towards the new virtual assistant, this series really and truly stands out from the crowd. Readers are presented with real-life scenarios and solid research, plus it gives readers a realistic expectation of what to anticipate when operating a virtual assistant business. This collection does not hide or gloss over the difficulties that new business owners face, but rather confronts them and provides rock-solid solutions. If you have been searching for a realistic book about getting started in the virtual assistance industry, then Visionary VAs: The Collection is an answer to your prayer."

“I am an upcoming VA who has yet to open her doors, but as I’m reading The Visionary VAs Getting Started Series, my dream is becoming more of a reality. Anyone reading this series of books in my opinion will consider both Jamie and Connie inspirational role models. The series is very well written, informative and entertaining. The series walks you through the steps necessary to start your own VA business using very simple to understand terms. It encourages you to set your goals and go for them, and at the same time reminds you that in order to succeed you better be prepared for a lot of hard work. It stops and makes you think and is loaded with suggestions and good advice. I find myself going back to prior chapters all the time as I’m researching and brainstorming. I highly recommend this series of books for the inspiration and guidelines necessary in starting a successful VA Business. Thank you Jamie and Connie for all the help that this series has given me and congratulations on a wonderful set of books."

“When I first started my business, I wish that Connie and Jaime had already put out Visionary VAs: The Collection. These books are so well thought out and have so much information in them. They really give a lot of answers to questions individuals have that are wanting to start their own virtual assistant business. They explain various software that VAs use and what you need to get your business going. These are books that I’ll keep around to assist my business as I grow. Ladies, wonderful job!”

If you’re having trouble parting with your hard-earned dollars for the purposes of investing in some start-up resources, we’re going to tell you right now that our books aren’t for you. It’s strange to see a couple of authors telling potential customers not to purchase their books, isn’t it? Allow us to explain.
In order to be a “Visionary VA,” you’ll have to understand and accept that you have to spend money to make money. One of the first things you are going to learn on this journey is that you’re not simply getting into a piddly little part-time gig. The VA industry is exploding, and it is possible to make a very comfortable living doing it. You’ll get out of it what you put into it. For those who are hesitant to drop some money into a resource that will get their businesses off to an awesome start…well…they’re probably not serious enough to get anything out of our eBooks. That’s just the truth. These people probably won’t like what we tell them about certain areas they should invest in, and we wouldn’t want to hurt their feelings.
So, why should you listen to us?
We are both successful VAs who know what it takes to make it in this business. That should be enough right there. We’ve laid it all out for you, so why reinvent the wheel?
Connie McVicker is the owner of Signature Worx , a multi-VA company specializing in graphics and website design. Connie has been swamped with clients since she opened her business and was nominated for the Janet Jordan Achievement Award in 2007.
Jaime Lee Mann is the owner of Mann Made Time , a multi-VA company specializing in copywriting and real estate agent support. Jaime’s business was packed to capacity with paying clients within four months of start-up, and she received the 2007 Janet Jordan Achievement Award. (Only one of us could win, unfortunately!)
Are you ready to jump-start your business and stop wasting the valuable hours you could be billing your clients for? If so, we recommend that you buy the Visionary VAs Getting Started Series right now. If you do, we’ll throw in a free Resource Guide as well.
Hey, we will also be unveiling a new addition to our collection—Visionary VAs Marketing & Getting Clients—in May 2008. If you buy the Getting Started Series now, you’ll receive a huge discount on the new book, which you definitely will not want to miss.
What are you waiting for? Don’t just learn how to be a VA. Learn how to be a Visionary VA. It would be our honor to show you how.
